"A True friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked" Bernard Meltzer
All of my favorite things on a pizza, egg, bacon, and cheese! Oh, tomato sauce too! This is such an easy recipe using store bought pizza crust and things you may already have. The greatest thing about making a pizza at home is that it is simple and you cannot really mess it up.
1 pre-made pizza crust - I used Boboli Pizza Crust
3 cups spinach (add how much your little heart desires)
5 strips of pre-cooked bacon or more, chopped (I buy precooked because I like it to be extra crispy)
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
2 tsp olive oil
1/4 cup pizza sauce (add more or less depending on your taste)
1/4 tsp powdered garlic
salt and pepper to taste
- preheat oven to 450 degrees
- place pizza crust on cookie sheet
- Evenly distribute all ingredients (except or the eggs)
- Crack eggs onto the pizza (one on each side - sometimes I use one, other times I use two eggs)
- Cook for 12 to 15 minutes. The spinach should be wilted and the eggs should be fully cooked.
Notes: I have had complaints that the eggs were either over cooked or too runny. Some people I know like to cook the eggs seperately and add it to the top when the pizza is out of the oven.
Something interesting I learned recently:
I haven't tried it, but when I was flipping through channels yesterday I came across Dr. Oz. They were talking about sweat and he mentioned that milk of magnesia can help keep you fresh smelling - I know, off the topic of food, but I was curious to know if anyone uses milk of magnesia. I heard some people even use it as a makeup primer...interesting.
